Community Shred Event

On Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Crown Information Management will be on site with their giant shredder. This is the perfect opportunity for you to collect your old files and paperwork and bring these to our shredding event.
The last shredding event was a huge success which produced three tons of shredded paper! Before you start tossing everything into boxes and bags, please keep in mind that there are important guidelines you must follow:
  • Metal of any kind that goes into the shredder has the potential to cause a fire. Binder clips, batteries, 3-ring binders, sharps or needles, plastics or bio-waste and medications must be removed before bringing your papers to be shredded.
  • Shredding is for disposal of content sensitive documents.
  • Magazines will not be accepted.
  • Please put your papers into bags that you can carry yourself. Do not expect that someone else will carry your overfilled bags.
  • If you plan to bring documents to be shredded, it will be a strictly first come, first serve basis
  • No businesses please. We can put you in touch with the shredding company to arrange to have your business files shredded.
We are looking for volunteers to help with this event. You can contact Judy Ford if you are available and willing to assist with set up and traffic safety.

Location: Parking lot of the Big Tree.
