Cessna Repaving Update

Good Morning Spruce Creek Ownership,

I wanted to send out a gentle reminder that the runways will be closed next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, September 17, 18 and 19 to tie in the west end of Cessna to the runway asphalt. The paving equipment will be out on the runway and we must close them to insure the safety of all concerned.
The repaving of West Cessna, which is PHASE TWO is moving along smoothly with no problems. The old asphalt is now gone and has been replaced with the lime rock base. They are smoothing it all out now and they are hinting that the asphalt might be going down by the end of the week. Then they will work on the tie in next week and then PHASE TWO will be complete. One more PHASE after that and this project will be complete. Special thanks to all concerned for a smooth operation. We are all thrilled with the whole process and the professionalism of all concerned.
PHASE THREE will probably start at the end of next week after the runway tie in is complete. Once we have a definite date from the contractor, I will let you know for sure. Please know that if you have an aircraft parked on Beech, it will need to be removed for PHASE THREE. If you have hangar space along Beech, you will not have access to it during PHASE THREE.
ALSO - remember - the tie in of Beech to the runway will be October 8, 9 and 10, (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The runways will again be closed those three days - OCTOBER 8, 9 and 10. Please plan accordingly.
I will keep you updated as we receive updated information from the contractor.
Thank you and have a great day.
Randy Newby
General Manager
